Minxie Pad, Chiswick.
The day beginning in Bredonbrough: shopping on the High Street, car loading, setting off c. 09.40 & taking WillyFred back to his lodgings with Mother-In-Law Barbara.
Snow has fallen heavily on the middle part of England & our planned highway, the A417 South, was closed. We headed to the M5 and, driving south on the M5 from Worcester to Bristol, the weather-outbreak became apparent. Snow everywhere from the Cotswolds, to Bristol, west to Swindon along the M4 & south to Marlborough, continuing as far as Salisbury Plain. Our 100 mile journey extended to 135 miles. We arrived at The Radnor Arms pub in Nunton, not far from DGM HQ, for a tasty lunch with a good local friend from our days at Reddish House.
Onto Bournemouth & visiting homeopath & pianist Don Hardyman, then to London with an emissions danger! icon flashing on the dashboard. Not a lot to be done about that tonight.
Arriving to a cold Maisonette Minxie c. 19.30 & straight to Giraffe for supper.
Back to the Minxie Pad, to gentle in modest warmth.
